Writing began early as a means to communicate with my expatriate father and continued with major news outlets throughout student life in Dhaka, Bangladesh. After following my high school sweetheart to the SF Bay area, I co edited Bengali Monthly Magazine Porshi for many years, introducing a women’s section called “Auditiya”. I launched Auditya Betaar and Auditiya community Education project as a means to uplift marginalized voices. Auditiya Poetry Hour is an initiative with friends Marufa Kaniz and Aparna Kanungo fostering the love of Bangla literature. SpaandanB (www.spaandanB.org) allows me to stay relevant in developmental activities in Bangladesh. Professionally, I work as human rights activist and adjunct professor of International Law
